About me
Diana Sofia “Sofi” Rodriguez is a faith‑driven cybersecurity professional and human‑centered cyber advocate, whose journey from Peruvian immigrant to U.S. citizen and emerging GRC leader has inspired thousands. Guided by prayer, purpose, and Kairos time—God’s appointed moments—Sofi arrived in the U.S. at 17, navigated years of waiting, and ultimately received her green card in 2018 and citizenship in 2023. In 2024, she pivoted into cybersecurity through the University of Chicago, graduating top of her cohort with a 4.0 GPA and later earning her CompTIA Security+ certification on her first attempt. She has shared her testimony and insights at the Museum of Science and Industry, the ISACA DePaul Cybersecurity Summit, and on the “Bytes, Bits and Brilliance” podcast. Sofi champions a human‑centered approach to cyber—one that prioritizes empathy, accessibility, and the lived experiences of real people behind the technology. Her mission is to empower minorities, immigrants, career changers, and seasoned beginners to pursue cyber with confidence, courage, and purpose, living out Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” She speaks to everyone who has faced hardship, reminding them that no matter how grim the beginning or the middle may look, God can still write a beautiful outcome when you walk in faith and alignment with His timing.
