About me
I am an IT executive and people-centered leader with more than 25 years of experience leading IT infrastructure, IT project management, operations, cloud platforms, and enterprise modernization across complex public-sector and private sector enterprise environments.
I currently serve as Deputy CIO for IT Infrastructure & Operations supporting the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) within the State of Illinois. In this role, I oversee large-scale infrastructure and cloud operations, IT service management (ITSM), operational resilience, and modernization initiatives that support mission-critical systems serving vulnerable populations statewide.
My leadership background spans IT operations, cloud transformation, data center and infrastructure strategy, cybersecurity alignment, program and project management, vendor management, and service delivery optimization. I’ve been trusted to stabilize environments, modernize legacy systems, improve service reliability, and build governance models that align technology execution with organizational mission and public accountability.
As a U.S. Navy Veteran, MBA, and PMP, my leadership style blends discipline, clarity, and adaptability. I believe strong IT organizations are built through people-first leadership, clear expectations, and intentional talent development. Mentorship is a core part of my work—both inside organizations and externally—helping professionals grow into confident, capable technology leaders.
Looking ahead, my career focus is continued impact at the IT executive leadership level, including CIO, Head of IT, or enterprise technology leadership roles, where I can influence strategy, drive digital transformation, reduce technical debt, strengthen operational maturity, and ensure technology functions as a true business and mission enabler.
If you’re interested in conversations around CIO-level leadership, public-sector or private sector technology modernization, IT infrastructure and cloud operations, IT service management, or developing the next generation of IT leaders, I welcome the connection!
